When does the 45-day public commentary period begin?
Date Posted: November 13, 2018 1:17 PMThe public commentary period begins upon the date of the EIA registration which was November 2, 2018. Any feedback or questions received by Hammond River Holdings prior to November 2, 2018 will be provided to the province as part of the EIA process.

Why, in the press release, has Irving already hired additional employees for the proposed project, from 40 employees to 105, when it said project has not yet been finalized and fully approved?
Date Posted: November 13, 2018 1:16 PMIn the update posted on hammondriverholdings.com, the job numbers referred to in the question are employees hired at Atlantic Wallboard from 2007-2018. This proposed quarry will specifically create 10-15 future jobs, which have not yet been filled. Prior to proceeding with “operational” activities, such as hiring employees and purchasing equipment for the project, we will wait until final approval from both the Department of Environment and the Department of Energy is received.
Has the exploration on 8072 Upham Mountain finished, and will anything be done there in the future?

Hammond River Holdings has performed exploration activity on plot 8781 from August through October 2018. All residents living within 1km of the site of exploration received notification of plot 8781 activity. Residents were notified twice over the past three months.
I understand the results of the core sampling on plot 8072 are proprietary, but in the interest of transparency, could you please release details of your findings?

After the projected 10 years at site 8781, and the gypsum has run out, will the project will expand to plot 8072? Can you confirm if this is the long-term plan?
Date Posted: November 13, 2018 1:15 PMThe proposed project in the filed EIA is for plot 8781 only, located in Upham Parish. Currently, there are no plans to develop site 8072.
Approximately how many tonnes of gypsum is anticipated to be extracted from the proposed quarry site 8781?
Date Posted: November 13, 2018 1:15 PMThe quarry is expected to produce 250,000 tonnes of gypsum per year. With current resource estimates of the site and production levels at Atlantic Wallboard indicate a minimum 10-year life for the quarry.
When will the EIA be released for public review? The webpage states that more information will be available there on November 13, is that when the EIA will be accessible to the public?
Date Posted: November 13, 2018 1:14 PMWe understand that the EIA is not yet available on the government’s site (October 31st) and we are working on getting the document uploaded to the Hammond River Holdings website this evening. It is important to remember that the EIA document is written to address the technical and scientific requirements of the regulator. Please note the document is very lengthy, 350 pages.
On or before November 13th, we expect to have, on the website, additional photographs, videos and an update regarding public engagement.
